Underground Solution reissue an absolute killer side from New York house mainstay Jovonn, with the added bonus of a pair of Ian Pooley remixes. ‘Back To House’, first included on Jovonn’s 1993 Goldhouse EP, is a slice of classic, swinging New Jersey house that alternates between synth stabs and floating organ washes accompanied by funky horns. Berliner Ian Pooley’s Main Mix, originally issued in 2001, keeps the rhythms intact and adds chunky laser light synths, while his stripped-back ‘New Dub’ reinforces the drums for a rougher vibe.
