New motherhood has been a core influence. It deepened anaiis' understanding of how to react with grace, create with freedom, and captures the reality of being human, unpoised and unpredictable. That internal expansion is audible across the record, which holds a wide emotional range without losing its still point.

Inadvertently, anaiis seems to be in conversation with her surroundings, as the album is an expansive effort that has anaiis shoving herself--lovingly, as you'll come to learn by listening through--to the edges of her comfort zone. She writes from the collective consciousness, where the main protagonist in her music is often the vast array of human emotions.
