Next up on Distance’s Chestplate imprint is Mesck who drops his weighty Conquista EP, following excellent contributions from District and the label head himself. Spread across two sides, the release showcases minimalistic percussion joined by thick, bass-heavy undercurrents. A-side title cut ‘Conquista’ maintains a steady swing with bursts of dense low-end gyrations amongst swathes of moody atmosphere whilst ‘Collusion’ takes a more warped approach with its lucid churn and background voodoo chants.
