Floating dream-pop duo Paco Sala returns to Digitalis Recordings with their hot-lipped second LP Put Your Hands On Me following their mind-blowing debut Ro-Me-Ro and limited 2013 cassette release The Fog. The LP gently breezes through hazed ambient textures, occasionally offering hints of trip-hop and contemporary R&B. The searing synth chords on opener ‘Impossible Places’ are carefully counteracted by fragile vocals whilst ‘Put Your Hands On Me’ tempts some footwork references into the mix with its scattershot drum hits. The spacious ‘Jonny Silverhands’ leads itself to more introspective times with its overlapping, melancholic vocals whereas ‘Salvo’ draws on a retro, italo-esque synth pattern.
