3 Chairs member and Detroit legend Rick Wilhite continues to pay homage to his now sadly closed record store Vibes with Part 2 in the compilation released via Rush Hour. Curated himself, Wilhite draws on his extensive knowledge and presents a collection of exclusive material from Chicago, Detroit and New York that he feels truly represents the artists. Representing Detroit is Moodymann’s jazzy ‘Momma’, DJ Stringray’s lethal ‘Temporary Bond’ and UR man Gerald Mitchell’s upbeat ‘It’s The Future’. Chicago gets a nod through one of its veterans K-Alexi Shelby whose ‘Head Banger’ is a sci-fi indebted journey into the unknown.
