Domino explore beat-based territories further with their latest signing: Bob Moses are Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance from Vancouver who produce house beats with songwriter appeal. Since the duo formed in Brooklyn in 2012, they have released EPs on the local Scissor & Thread, diversifying their electronic sound with live instrumentation and vocals. ‘First To Cry’ is taken from the forthcoming same-titled EP. Reminiscent of Nicolas Jaar, the beat trots over an electric guitar loop before the vocal verse takes over the lead. Combined with minor guitar chords, they create a post-club song with a contemplative feel.
