Warren Brown releases his second EP on his own imprint PFly. Named after his EP on Third Ear Recordings, the label commemorates Peckham, his home area in South London. Abrasive beats and steady hi-hats prove ‘Masterz of Disasterz’ to be one of his roughest and most ruthless songs to date. ‘Day By Day’ is built from a lounge-y melody and ‘I Want You Now’ plays with heavily filtered vocal samples and pressing synths that open up new dimensions. ‘Hang On’ gets by with an emerging two chord synth theme and straightforward percussive minimalism.
