Soundways Records present another killer reissue, this time from a short-lived Nigerian Keyboard duo. Hungry Man is a one-off collaboration between Brodricks Majuwa and Isaac Digha, originally recorded for EMI Nigeria around 1978. The duo exhibit a fondness for American funk on groove-heavy tracks like ‘A Big Mess’, ‘Peaceable World’ and ‘Tomorrow We Can Stay’, and the keyboard and hook-driven ‘I Wish You Know’. The title track sports a more conventional Afrobeat rhythm and a bewitching blend of instrumentation, led by an ace horn section and hypnotic guitars.
