Dresden-based producer Scherbe presents his first EP on Ramp’s techno sublabel Fourth Wave, the second EP after his debut on Uncanny Valley in 2013. The perfectly bouncing beats of the title track slowly reveal a dynamic cow-bell pattern that almost disappears into a field of organ synths as it progresses. This version of Detroit house juxtaposes a chillier B-side: rhythmically driven by clearly distinguishable percussion, the voice-like synths surfacing at the climax of ‘Neva Too Late’ play a secondary role in a song that hints much more at its Chicago influences.
