Berliner Sascha Rydell releases his latest singular short set, once again for hometown imprint Fachwerk. Rugged opener ‘Thought Disorder’ builds atop bedrock of bass drum and vocal loop, adding an obscenely heavy kick, vibrant hats and assorted loopy FX. ‘Haptic’ too sports a vocal sample, this one clipped beyond recognition and layered with stripped back drum work and an earworm bass line. ‘Rings Of Smoke (Moony Mix)’ suggests Theo Parrish’s looser sides by way of the kitchen sink, with everything from squelching synths and twinkling keys to whispering samples locked into its classic house groove.
