Five years after their self-released debut, the New Zealand trio returns with their first EP on the Berlin-based electronic label Somethinksounds. If These Are The Last Days features two cuts from their upcoming album and respective remixes by fellow label mate Eliphino as well as London producer Flako. On the title track, vocalist Mara TK sings soulfully over a hip-hop-like beat that Eliphino turns into melodic house music for his remix. Flako exchanges the organic piano of ‘Bottom Line’ for synthesized organs and swaps the abstract and nervous post-dubstep rhythm of the original for a more straightforward one.
