- heavy weight vinyl pressing
Liverpool's John Heckle drops this acid freakout session on his city's Scenery imprint. His hardware-laden sound is on full display across these tracks, with acidic gurgles and percussive rattles particularly evident on 'Laid Away', not to mention 90s house chords and movements together with soaring, bubbling solos. 'DDT' is rougher, though no less impressive. Rugged claps and distorted cowbells, the whole track feels like the treble's been muted - but to wondrous effect. Remixes come from Perseus Traxx, who goes full Chicago on 'Laid Away', and Ksoul & Muteoscillator, who add sheen and finesse to the murky 'DDT'.
