Berlin-based sonic artist Glitterbug turns in his fourth album, this one on Gold Panda's Notown label. An immersive listen, it captures a vast musical landscape across its 10 tracks. With moving, melodic ballads ('Dust', 'When The City Was Bare') making way for dub-flavoured rituals ('Apparition'), it demonstrates Till Rohmann's consummate skill with his craft. The fizzing bassline of '1st of July' meets evocative melodies and yearning strings to take it beyond the realm of simple club fodder, while the emotional journey of 'Look Around' closes the album with appropriate drama.
