Belgian producer Locked Groove lets loose a two-headed monster of a single, the latest on his Locked Groove Records imprint. Rave Alert / Dialogues, whether or not its intended to, rather accurately depicts an evening out clubbing, doing both sides of the night justice. The aptly titled ‘Rave Alert’ is a snapshot of a party on the upswing, a thumping tech-house anthem swelling with acidic synths and crisp drum work. ‘Dialogues’ with its hypnotic electronics, searching synths and relentless beat, works like the inevitable, introspective comedown of the early hours.
