The Exaltics (one of several aliases of German producer Robert Witschakowski) are behind Some Other Place Vol 2, the second of a planned triptych for Clone's West Coast Series. Following in the footsteps of the likes of Legowelt and Versalife, Witschakowski contributes uncompromising Drexciyan electro for the modern age. 'Some Other Place' hints at an alien world beyond our skies, its chords and melodies laced with wonder. 'Waves of Fear' is true to its name, a darkly sinister number that screams sci-fi chase sequence. 'The Way Out' offers some brief relief, jacking up the tempo and suggesting escape from evil pursuers. 'Different Ways' modulates its synths and thick globs of bass-line to unsettling effect, horror music for the 3D age.
