Key Krautrock innovators Cluster (Dieter Moebius, Hans-Joachim Roedelius) have been active since the '60s, when the they started out as the trio Kluster, with Moebius and Roedelius making music alongside Konrad Schnitzler. After splitting some time after from Schnitzler, the pair changed their name to Cluster and continued to make music, including two albums with Brian Eno. After a nearly ten year hiatus, they returned in 1990 with this album Apropos Cluster. The release sees the duo embracing electronic music, filled with labyrinthine digital effects while losing none of Cluster's iconic character and exploratory ethos.
