Los Angeles has been an embarrassment of riches in recent years when it comes to brain bursting beat-making, and LA newcomer D Tiberio's new album 304 solidly continues the tradition. This is an exceptional and heady album blending elements of footwork, left-field hip hop, UKG, and more into a rapturously idiosyncratic and accomplished whole. The production is lush, evocative, at times both blunt and subtle, and manages to never feel less than hand-crafted and organic throughout its runtime. This dense album never repeats itself, and each new listen reveals fresh new layers and detail.
