San Laurentino's new album Contemplations of a Castaway, released through Mystic & Quantum Records, offers up another irresistible serving of sensual italo-disco inflected house. The Hungarian producer's low key sound is one that has been consistently refined since his 2010 debut, and this is certainly his most fully formed -and purely enjoyable on a moment to moment basis - work to date. Highlights include the escalating yet elegantly smooth old-school electro of 'Hammock With A View', and the evocative and emotional slow build of 'Rolling Bones'.
