For M-Plant’s 20th anniversary, Detroit techno monolith Robert Hood goes back to his Monobox alias to present a more minimalistic production approach. A steel drum playing a broken minor chord is the dominating feature of the twelve-inch’s A-side. Combined with the synthesised strings, Hood creates a daunting atmosphere perfectly aligned with contemporary artists such as Pantha du Prince. On the B side, Hood opts for a less melodic outcome with echoing synths and a percussion-heavy progression.
