Illum Sphere follows up his album Ghosts Of Then And Now, released in February 2014, with a mini album of remixes from the likes of Legowelt, Lone, Zed Bias and Charles Manier, as well as some new material. Legowelt's take on 'Embryonic' sends the track thumping giddily at a breathless pace, while Lone's version of the same track takes the opposite approach, creating a shimmery, high-sheen ballad from the track's fluttering vocals. Charles Manier's take on 'The Road' meanwhile closes the releases with heavy, clunking electro beats. Illum Sphere's new composition 'Spectre Vex' is the standout here though, rippling waves of synths pinned down by grinding drums for a colourful, immersive rush of a track.
