More brilliant bass hybrids from Sonic Router, this time courtesy of Dutch newcomer Ghost Kwini. The young producer crafts leftfield instrumental grime, filling his tracks with colourful 8-bit electronics, bustling samples and amorphous rhythms. ‘Black Google’ pairs quivering synths with bouncy percussion and blissful pads. Standout ‘Netscape Navigator’ sports dodgy strings, ghostly vocal samples and a big, sub-bass charged beat. Of the four, the edgy ‘Gothic Skeikh’ might best support an emcee, whereas the frenzied ‘Uncanny Valley’ is packed to the brim with twisted vocal snippets, wobbling bass and Gameboy bleeps.
