Editions Mego present the second release from shadowy US outfit Thought Broadcast, their latest for the imprint since their debut LP Emergency Stairway. Whilst the group are shrouded in anonymity, the fingerprints of their known underground punk / noise roots are all over Votive Zero, with deadpan, nihilistic noise underpinning the whole release. From the gurgling distortion of ‘Carving A Row’ to the revolving paranoia of ‘Anchorite’ and mutated, minimalistic clangs on ‘Forged Body’, Votive Zero is a collection of uncompromising sonics that’ll gradually reveal more and more about itself on each listen.
