More excavated electronic explorations from Frederick Charles Judd, courtesy of the very promising Kontinental imprint. Originally released on Castle back in 1963, these pieces are sure to please new Judd converts, most likely hooked after hearing Public Information’s 2012 anthology Electronics Without Tears. ‘Delta F’ and ‘Study in Sinetones’ are fine examples of early electronic music, with spacey synth lines that drift and evolve organically without completely abandoning melody. On the flip, sound collages ‘Sound Object’ and ‘Montage’ represent the musique concrete portion.
