Tracks from The Field's album Cupid's Head are remixed by a varied cast of electronic music's finest talents. Bookending the release are two incredible takes from Wolfgang Voigt's Gas project, an immersive and atmospheric whirlpool to open the release, and a stilled 'ambient' version to close the release, frozen swirls of sound drawing the listener under. Tim Hecker gives a characteristically delicate and emotive interpretation of 'No. No?' while Vatican Shadow adds dark clatters to 'Cupid's Head'. Barker & Baumecker strip back that same track and let it build with a lean percussive flex, while TM404 submerges the track is icy dub and John Tejada and Sonns provide rich and detailed mixes.
