Damien Dubrovnik (they're actually a duo) hail from the same close knit Copenhagen music scene as post-punk rapscallions Iceage. Dubrovnik instead wield electronics to shed eardrums, and like Iceage manage to be hellishly loud while still retaining an unusual sense of melody. Dubrovnik's latest release Patterns of Penetration, continues their past trend of choosing juvenile but undeniably humorous titles, and is yet another slab of harsh and brilliant digital no wave. 'Penis Corset' – again with the titles - begins with John Carpenter-esque cinematic synths before swiftly exploding into a torrent of metal flavoured nihilistic fury and rage.
