Downwards release an album from Derry act Autumns. A step away from the dark techno and stark post-punk the label is best known for, Mini LP is a noisey and exhilarating trip of shoegaze and garage inspired rough fuzz, full of gritty guitars and biting, feedback drenched melodies that are closest to the early work of The Jesus and Mary Chain. 'Terrible Tuesday' opens the release in a galloping rush of noise, while 'Pale Skin' moves with a slinky menace beneath the layers of haze. 'Keep On Sinking' is warmer, closer to the sounds of C86, while 'It's Sooner Than You Think' closes the album in cloudy layers of distortion.
