Coinciding with his official partnership with the world's oldest classical music label, Deutsche Grammophon, Max Richter's glorious revision of Vivaldi's Four Seasons is re-released to stunning effect. Originally released in 2012, Richter's take on this perennial classic was fashioned from choice moments and phrases from different elements of Vivaldi's work, uniquely reworked for violin, chamber orchestra and moog synthesizer. This release comes with a series of remixes, as well as Richter's own interpretations, which he calls 'Shadows'. A DVD featuring a recorded performance from late 2013 is also available, capturing this fascinating work in a live setting.
