Brighton-based bass music specialists Donkey Pitch present their latest signing Vespertown who turns in an upbeat collection of R&B laced, pop-tinged, bass-heavy cuts entitled Kaleidoscope. First off is ‘Fancy’, crafting a friendly, original feel with juking drums, soft synth melodies and a chopped up R Kelly vocal for added effect whilst ‘Tuff Luv’ relies on bold chord bursts. Sizzling synth lines are the put to work again on the slow/fast cut ‘Colour Wheel’, whereas the firm floor favourite must be ‘Royal Flash’ with its playful drum work and party chants.
