Since its inception, UK-based Nang has been the go to label for cutting-edge disco, having unleashed cuts by the likes of Martin Brodin, Tensnake, Brioski and Toby Tobias. They’re now gently marshalling disco visionary Rayko, whose Rebirth is set to be a flagship release for the British imprint. The LP starts in a tranquil mind-state with ‘Balearic Intro’, which features a melancholic guitar phrase that sounds like one of Eric Clapton’s musings. Second track ‘The Cave’ could give Daft Punk a run for their money, owing to its FM-friendly, 80s-influenced synth rock. All in all, this is a zesty cocktail of funk grooves and blissed-out synths that’ll go go down well in clubland.
