The Meridian Brothers is the solo moniker of Colombian musician and oddball Eblis Àlvarez, and his latest record Salvadora Robot is released via Soundway Records. Àlvarez's music is a highly idiosyncratic and delightful combination of South American folk, and pysch rock, with smidgens of abstract noise weirdness thrown in for good measure. There are few acts to directly compare it to; though fans of Os Mutantes and Animal Collective are sure to find plenty to enjoy here. Salvadora Robot is as unpredictable as any of the Meridian Brothers past albums, and it's breezy oddity makes it ideal listening for the musically adventurous.
