The Stand is another release in Dekorder's picture disc series celebrating 10 years of Dekorder. Excepter was founded by John Fell Ryan in 2002 in New York, and they've released numerous albums over the years exploring the threshold between experimental music and house. This single-sided picture disc features recordings performed with Ryan's then 18 month year old son. 'Victory Beat' is a stark minimalistic electronic number featuring the rhythmic mumblings of Ryan's child, while 'The Fence' is a moody monochromatic rumble that recalls the early work of Suicide, while 'I Zone' finishes the EP off with a shimmering blast of hypnotic noise.
