Dust Science Recordings brings together The Black Dog’s Liber series releases on this crucial collection of dark, dense techno. Liber Collected gathers three double-sided singles from the Sheffield duo dating back to 2011, as well as remixes for each track from some notable producers. For their part The Black Dog represent well, firing off bangers like the relentless, pumping ‘Black Chamber Order’, the unnervingly deep ‘Bass Mantra, subbed-out steamroller ‘Heavy Industry’ and the simple yet absolutely massive ‘High Rise Choir Reprise’. On remix duty, Richard H. Kirk’s deranged, percussive take on ‘Greedy Gutter Guru’ and Blawan’s monolithic mix split top honours, the latter the aural equivalent of an invasion of giant evil robots.
