American artist Lack makes his debut EP release Expect Night Work on Morphine Records with a contorted selection of grainy cuts that weave a thread between elements of experimental, noise, industrial and minimal electronic music. ‘Perfervidae’ is off first, with a stripped array of glitches eventually coming together into a repetitive rhythm, followed by the scathed stomps of ‘Aphelion’. On the other side we find piercing noise pushed up against a juddering synth pulse with the live experimental style of ‘Imprii’ finishing off.
