British indie-rockers The Horrors are back with their fourth full-length release entitled Luminous, a follow up to the acclaimed 2011 LP Skying. Recorded over a period of 15 months in the band’s east London studio with the assistance of co-producer Craig Silvey, Luminous sees the group move to a brighter, more electronically focused sound rich with anthemic qualities. On ‘I See You’ a lively, Italo-esque arpeggio is let loose with the group’s bold instrumentation and shimmering dub guitars building to a climatic crescendo. Whereas the rising synth chords on ‘So Now You Know’ radiate bright light with Faris Badwan’s assured vocals taking the piece to the next level.
