London-based producer Deadboy is back on Numbers with a 4-track EP, a new release of sweeping, emotive sounds. Title track 'Return' is a step away from dance music, a glistening track revolving around high-sheen arpeggiated synths that pulsate with wide-eyed power. 'Des Niles' amps things up, a robust bass line underpinning diced up vocals for a colourful, rolling club track while 'YHVH' is similarly fiery, built from snapping drums and drilling low-end. 'Life Code' rounds of the EP in fine style, a minimal piece of punchy beat experimentation that shows yet another side to Deadboy's production talents.
