Coming off the back of a huge release on Public Information, Bristol’s Bass Clef debuts on PAN Records with a four-piece set of experimental, floor-ready constructions entitled Raven Yr Own Worl. Utilising his trusted Bug Brand modular synth, Bass Clef joins the dots between early acid house, the library sounds of the BBC Radiophonic workshop and AFX’s Analord series. First off is ‘Self-Perpetuating Fun Loop’, an energetic jam-style acid track followed by the rave whistles and slow dubbed bounce of ‘Fluorescent City Shining City’. Over on the flip find the bleepy, mutating grove of ‘Euphoric Nihilism’ next to melancholic chords of ‘Adventures Unventured, Tenderness Untendered’.
