British noise musician Z.Zsigo has been releasing his abrasive and haunting work on little heard tape and 7 inch releases for years now. Fires Frame the Silhouette is his first full length album, released through the excellent Alter label, and finally presents this unique talent's work in a much more easily accessible and widely released package. The album is an onslaught of merciless noise, sure to delight aural punishment gluttons. Tracks like 'Iron Pier' offer brief respites into bleak moody ambiance, but on the whole do not dilute the dread inducing and apocalyptic power of this startling work.
