Sonic Youth bring a much-loved piece from the vault back to wax for the first time since its 2008 release with this reissue of the J’Accuse Ted Hughes 12”. Out on their own SYR house imprint, this searing live take on the NYC Ghosts & Flowers highlight comes from their set at the Mogwai-curated 2000 edition of ATP Festival. Thurston Moore and Lee Ronaldo both brandish electric twelve-string guitars here as they circle around and snap at each other like bulls seeing red. The B-side, a lacerating soundtrack piece for an Agnes B. clothing collab that didn’t come to pass, features among Jim O’Rourke’s first appearances in Sonic Youth.
