A meeting of minds happened in 2008 as Stephen Hitchell and Mike Huckaby both remixed Model 500’s ‘Starlight’, now over fifteen years later the results from this crossing finally arrive as Echospace [Detroit] present this collaborative Our Life With The Wave EP. Huckaby’s original mix is a propulsive and rebounding feast of percussion ricocheting underwater, taken further by Federsen who locks the track in the freezer, swirling it with condensation and hand drums rolling under the source, while Hitchell’s remixes are properly dubbed out with bass in the depths.
