Covering all permutations of the bass music movement, Brownswood Electrc 4 showcases some of the most exciting, emerging producers. Louis Fulton’s ‘Shoulda Known’ kicks things off, coupling a high-pitched vocal to deft drum work and starry-eyed twinkles whereas Monk’s ‘L’ pushes a super lo-slung, Fly-Lo styled, electronic heavy beat down. From here, things move from Glenn Astro’s floor-friendly ‘We Killed Our Probation Work’ with its grooving chord stabs to the skittering, micro-processed beats of Deft’s ‘Breakdown’ with added jungle flavour.
