Portland-based label Wil-Ru Recordings readies an extensive collection of remixes for the beautiful Biathalon track ‘Sleepless’. Opening up with a dream-like haze, Biathalon’s original is a rich piece of a lo-fi ambience where faint, minimalistic piano keys creep into the mix, leaving lingering trails of sound. Label mate Lamont Kohner’s remix is next, infusing a heavy, sluggish dub shuffle whereas Grischa Lichtenberger’s lucid take focuses on distant sampled voices and high piano keys.
