UK sound technicians Rich Bevan and Josh Doherty, better known as Posthuman, are back with another strong EP, this time for Belgium’s Bodywork Music. Though they’ve probed a number of styles since their formation in 2000, the order here is strictly acid-infused DJ tools. On ‘Decompression’ and ‘So Cruel’, the duo tease out chunky 303 synth lines and stretch them over skeletal, slo-mo grooves, while the pounding ‘Back To Acid’ and standout ‘Step Back’ go for the neck with rolling tempos and neck-snapping drum work. Berliner House Of Black Lanterns pitches in a remix, sucking the air out of the title track on his synth heavy, sci-fi flavoured take.
