Erika De Casier returns less than a year after her smash 4AD LP Still with a new surprise album on her own Independent Jeep Music imprint entitled Lifetime. Produced entirely by De Casier herself, while the album’s downtempo feel and shortened release cycle may suggest a lower key, the supple vocal production and gorgeously rendered synths and drums on tracks like ‘Seasons’ and ‘Delusional’ prove this to be a major statement. Originally listed on Bandcamp as a short run of untitled cassettes that almost immediately sold out, Lifetime proves that Erika De Casier is a star on the rise.
