Emanating from the popular, long-running London club night I Love Acid comes the super-limited, individually numbered release from Edward Upton (DMX Krew) and Bass Junkies’ new collaborative project Room 13. Both producers’ hallmarks ooze from each cut, with Upton’s strict analogue aesthetics functioning in perfect harmony with Bass Junkie’s trademark electro bounce. Title track ‘Room 13’ builds on the classic late 80’s Trax sound, albeit with an even more ferocious 303 acid pattern leading the way whilst the runaway electro energy of ‘Body Language’ is perfect for a sweaty dance floor. Flipping over we find more retro-tinged jacking nonsense with ‘Jack To The Future’ and Matt Whitehead’s mind-melting remix of ‘Room 13’ equip with its churning bass line and drugged vocals.
