Bristol-born, Berlin-based producer Antoni Maiovvi debuts on Dutch imprint Bordello A Parigi with a sizzling collection of disco-tinged electro entitled Trauma EP. Launching off first with title track ‘Trauma’, Maiovvi builds a toxic tonic of dark, italo-disco with ricocheted claps and addictive synth-pop vocals whilst the ‘Instrumental Dub’ strips the vocal and increases the duration for a true dance floor original. On the other side we find ‘Sacrilege’; a hazy number with fuzzed out synth patterns and a boundless kick drum whereas the uplifting, bouncy Italo chug of ‘An Interface’ rounds things off beautifully.
