Dublin’s All City Records come up trumps with an EP of full throttle House music from an anonymous producer under the Gamertag alias. ‘Find Your Pulse’ sets the record’s template in its combination of classic house calling cards and more unusual samples from instrumental music, though most interesting is its unpredictable to and fro between half-step beats and a steady jack. ‘Maze Impact’ is the highlight, with a weighty but slick jack giving way to stuttering violin concerto samples an strange echoes as well as classic house piano licks.
