Factory Floor single out a sweat-soaked standout from their full-length, the pulsating post-punk of ‘How You Say,’ to be reworked by a diverse trio of producers. Gunnar Haslam breaks the original down to the basics on his tectonic mix, stacking percussive layers like building blocks and binding them with ghostly vocal snippets and warped guitar. Invisible Conga People’s strange, effective take pairs disembodied vocal with a slow-burning house groove and prismatic synths, channelling 80’s post-disco precursors like ESG and Maximum Joy. However, it’s Londoner Daniel Avery’s dreamy house mix, with its euphoric pads and lush melodies, that steals the show.
