True Panther musician Cameron Mesirow aka Glasser assembles a crack shortlist of producers to rework ‘Shape’, the opening track from her 2013 album Interiors. Deetron floats Mesirow’s powerful vocal over a pulsing house beat then smashes it to pieces, dicing and rearranging the vocal snippets to dizzying effect. Emotive synths, scattershot drum work and propulsive bass fuel label mate Hyetal’s downbeat mix, while Kowton’s edgy, stuttering rework invokes Homogenic-era Bjork. Londoner Visionist, however, takes it with his eerily gorgeous remix, which features kaleidoscopic swatches of Mesirow’s vocal illuminating a drum-less soundscape.
