Tresor Records kicks off their much needed reissue series for Detroit techno legend Blake Baxter from the very beginning with 1992’s Dream Sequence LP. A much-loved confidant of the Underground Resistance, Baxter first visited the Berlin mega-club alongside his comrades on the very first UR tour of Europe in ‘92, which paved the way for the much-ballyhooed Detroit-Berlin Connection. While Baxter’s later work bore the more laid-back feel of classic house, the tracks here charge much harder, inspired no doubt by the warehouses and industrial spaces that hosted those early UR parties and raves.
