Having released on the Matador, Tomlab, and Playhouse imprints, Berlin producer Khan is back with a full length on the Album Label, which is a collection of theatrical songs taking their inspiration from Brion Gysin's novel Dream Machine. What makes ‘The Enlightenment Machine’ so striking is its volatile variety of influences, with ‘The Future (Is Immortal)’ a bizarre tribal techno cut, ‘Message In A Coke Bottle’ a low-lit ballad, and ‘Pretty in Red’ a strange dub number.
